Want to make some money with your 3D printer?

Join Our Print Program!

Let's be honest, your 3D printer probably isn't running as often as you thought it would when you first got it. Maybe the novelty has worn off or maybe you've finished your list of stuff to print. Maybe you were lured into buying a printer by the "print your own money" idea and have now realized that it's not quite as easy as you thought.

Whatever it is, you probably feel a slight hint of guilt every time you see your printer sitting there collecting dust. You could reprint that little desk toy, but you've already got three of them. Besides, you can't quite justify using up that last spool of filament because, even though it's been sitting next to the printer for a month, you might need it for something important... Well, we have a little something that will keep that printer busy!

About the Print Program

We sell custom blasters that require lots of 3D-printed parts in a variety of colors, shapes, sizes, and materials. Rather than invest our efforts and money in a 3D print farm we invest in you!

Here's how it works:

  1. You register for the print program and get approved

  2. We send you print requests and give you 12 hours to accept

  3. You print the parts and send them to us

  4. We pay you and send those parts to the customer

Build trust over time!

Each time you successfully complete a print request we award you Print Points! Accumulating Print Points allows you to unlock additional benefits, like getting print requests more often, or accepting more than one print request at a time. We may even have you send prints directly to customers!

Why Outsource Prints?

We could try to run our own print farm, but it's not as fun as it sounds... 3D printing is still a relatively new process. It requires a watchful eye, attention to detail, planning ahead, and constant maintenance. Multiplying all that printer babysitting by 100's of printers gets overwhelming.

Print farms require large, ventilated spaces with temperature and humidity control. They draw a significant amount of power and produce a lot of heat. Quality is often traded for efficiency as these print farms try to keep up with demand. Catastrophic failures, warping, elephants foot, and printing spaghetti are everyday occurrences in a print farm.

Blitz Blasters decided to avoid the headaches and get prints from the thousands of capable printing experts who want to earn extra money by putting their printers to work. It allows us to save money, reduce lead times, and give back to the incredible community of 3D-printed Nerf!
